That spirit is what led him to found Folks (“a brand consultancy for the new generation of purpose-driven companies”), to which he dedicates most of his time, but at the same time develops social innovation projects, as a platform that seeks connecting local food producers with society without going through intermediaries, thus promoting a fairer economy. He also teaches at the LCI art and design school in Barcelona, and is preparing a new master's degree with another school that will launch mid-year. He is a convinced humanist with a particular interest in the study of futures and those values are present in everything he does. I met Oscar through LinkedIn when I was still working as a freelancer.
He contacted me, I checked his profile, I took a look at the Folks page and I was really struck by the 'humanist' approach of his agency. I contacted him and told him in other words what I just wrote here and, like a good freelancer, I added that if the opportunity Brazil Mobile Number List presented itself, I would love to collaborate with them. He responded gratefully and I don't remember if in the first message or after we had written to each other a little more he told me that he had a project going for which he had not budgeted for research, but that he believed he could find an allocation to design a lightning investigation. He seemed great to me and we got to work. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but I don't think we had more than two weeks to make the research plan, recruit participants, do the field work, and present the results to the client. Absolute guerrilla.
Óscar was involved at every moment, demonstrating a genuine interest in the research and even had to do an interview when we realized that one of the participants had worked with me years ago (read: Why not involve close people in your research with users ). We changed roles and he did his first in-depth interview… Because of that interest in research, we interviewed him today. We sent you a series of questions by email, and here we leave you the result... Óscar, I have already told in the intro how we met, something that I understand would matter to very few people, now let's get into it. Tell us about your career, that of your agency and when user research crosses your path… Many thanks to the Teacup Lab team for the work of promoting a blog with such valuable content and for the opportunity to appear on it.
